National Stroke Conference
October 4th - 5th, 2008, Toronto, ON
"Management of Stroke 2008: A Comprehensive Canadian Perspective"
The National Stroke Conference is sponsored by the Canadian Stroke Consortium (CSC) and the Canadian Stroke Network (CSN). The conference will review what's new in stroke (prevention and treatment) and for patients with high risk TIAs. It will also define the best diagnostic approaches to evaluation of acute stroke, discuss imaging, and provide an overview of the management and prevention of stroke complications.

Stroke Prevention Workshop - April 4, 2008
As part of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan’s focus on the development of a provincial integrated stroke strategy, we were pleased to work with Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) to offer an interprofessional workshop on stroke prevention on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Travelodge Hotel in Saskatoon.
The focus of this workshop was to provide information on stroke prevention (primary and secondary) in the primary care setting. The target audience for the workshop was all healthcare providers who work in primary care such as physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise therapists, dietitians, etc.

Sask Stroke Conference 2005
"Innovations in Stroke Prevention and Care in Saskatchewan" hosted by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Saskatchewan, was held on November 16, 2005 in Saskatoon. The conference was designed to bring together key decision makers and professional leaders in health regions and professional organizations in Saskatchewan to begin the journey towards the development and implementation of an Integrated Provincial Stroke Strategy.
